Me and Martin Sandvik played in the same band called LINK 20 years ago and already then tried to get an old pc going with at Soundblaster card in our rehearsal room. The band split and the years passed, Martin took on a amazing journey with Hardcore Superstar who still continues to rock the world and Fredrik spent years in school still continuing to write music and the last eight years building a studio.

In 2014 our paths crossed when an fan of HCSS sent some demos from back in the day to Martin. He was stunned by the quality and called Fidde and said that HCSS wan’t to rerecord some of the songs. They teamed up and Fidde did a guestapperance at a show and recorded some guitar in the studio.
Some months later Fidde moved his studio to Café Overlock, situated in a friendly and serene suburb called Utby, where Martin had his studio in the basement. A space that way back served as a butcher house got available for lease that connected the two control rooms and Österlyckan Studios became the longlife dream come through. We spent two months building the studio together with acoustic guru and friend Bjorn Asplind and in 160603 the grand opening took place. We’re so proud and still stunned by the fact of how well it turned out – the vibe going around the 150 m2 is just incredible.
