Even back then, we were obsessed with music production\u2014trying to resurrect an old PC with a Soundblaster card in our dusty rehearsal space.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Eventually, the band split and life took us on different paths. Martin embarked on an amazing journey with <strong>Hardcore Superstar<\/strong>, a band that still continues to rock stages worldwide. Meanwhile, I (Fredrik) spent years studying, writing music, and spent the last eight years building studios.<br><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" src=\"\" alt=\"link\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" src=\"https:\/\/sideburn.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/link-300x225-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-49\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Link at \u201cDr\u00f6mmarnas kaj\u201d 94, Martin to the left and Fidde second from left<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In 2014, fate brought us back together. A fan sent Martin some old LINK demos, and stunned by how good they sounded, Martin called me up: HCSS wanted to re-record a couple of the tracks! Soon after, I joined them as a guest performer live and recorded guitars in the studio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Shortly after, I moved my studio setup to Caf\u00e9 Overlock in the peaceful suburb of Utby\u2014right above the basement studio Martin was using. When an adjacent space (which used to be an old butcher shop) suddenly became available, it was the missing puzzle piece. We connected the rooms, and <strong>\u00d6sterlyckan Studios<\/strong>\u2014a lifelong dream\u2014was officially born.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We spent two intense months constructing the facility alongside acoustic expert and close friend Bj\u00f6rn Asplind, leading up to our grand opening on June 3, 2016.
